Lithuania business credit reports

Check a Lithuanian company before a customer or supplier transaction. Its legal entity code and registered name are useful starting points when ordering a business credit report from abroad.

Information to prepare for your Lithuania company check

  • Registered Lithuanian name and legal form
  • Legal entity code
  • Registered office and previous names, if relevant

Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.

Lithuania’s Register of Legal Entities

The Centre of Registers provides a public legal-entity search by name or code, with an option to include historical names. Its search guidance distinguishes this public lookup from detailed information for registered users with an agreement. Finding a name does not mean every filed document is available in the basic result.

Include the name beyond its legal-form abbreviation

A Lithuanian company name may be accompanied by an abbreviation such as UAB or AB. Send the complete name and code rather than the abbreviation alone. If correspondence uses an English translation, retain the Lithuanian spelling so that the request can be reconciled with the official record.

Check the invoicing company in a supply chain

If a Lithuanian wholesaler supplies goods made by another company, identify which entity issues the invoice and takes responsibility under the agreement. Include the manufacturer separately if it also needs research. Compare any financial figures with that chosen entity and explain a requirement for ownership detail before buying.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can I find a Lithuanian company after a name change?

The public register offers a historical-name search option. Include the former name, current name if known, and legal entity code when requesting a report so the company’s identity can be reconciled.
