France business credit reports

Review a French distributor, supplier, or customer with a company credit report. Supply the registered entity’s identity and clarify whether your documents refer to its head office or a particular establishment.

Information to prepare for your France company check

  • Registered French name and legal form
  • SIREN or other registration reference supplied by the company
  • Registered address and establishment address, if different

Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.

French registration and company documents

DATA INPI makes company records, corporate acts, and associated documents available for research. Its guidance describes information about company creation, changes, and cessation, alongside filed acts and statutes. Compare that history with the name and address in your agreement, especially where a supplier has recently changed its trading identity.

Why French accounts may be incomplete

INPI distinguishes non-confidential annual accounts from filings accompanied by a confidentiality declaration. A filing record does not mean every financial figure is publicly accessible. Specify the accounting period your team needs, then check which accounts or financial summaries are actually included in the delivered report.

Separate a sales location from the debtor

A exporter may deliver goods to a French warehouse while invoicing a company registered elsewhere in France. Send both addresses with their purpose clearly labeled. The report should concern the contractual buyer; a delivery location alone may not identify the entity whose creditworthiness you need to review.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Does a confidential French filing mean the company has no accounts?

No. Confidentiality affects access to filed information. Treat unavailable figures as an information gap and ask about obtainable financial information before ordering if your decision depends on a specific statement.
