Identify the supplier, trader, and manufacturer
The name on a marketplace listing or product catalog may be a brand, while a separate trading company issues the invoice. Request the legal name, registration identifier, and address of the counterparty. If manufacturing is carried out by another business, explain which entity you want researched.
For example, a Singapore trading company may sell goods made by a mainland Chinese manufacturer. The company on your contract and the factory can be different report subjects. Confirm the country and legal entity for each request instead of assuming one report covers the whole supply chain.
What a supplier credit report can tell you
Available information may cover the supplier’s corporate identity, ownership, operating background, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Contents depend on the market, the company, and the report selected.
Read the information dates and qualifications alongside the assessment. If your review depends on a specific financial period or corporate relationship, ask about its availability before ordering. A newly compiled report can still refer to the latest available accounts from an earlier period.
Company information and supplier capability
A business credit report supports research into the company. It does not certify product quality, production capacity, factory conditions, or the performance of a future delivery. A factory audit, product inspection, and sanctions screening address other questions and should not be assumed to be included.
Use your own supplier approval process to decide which checks are needed. If you want reports on both the contracting company and a manufacturer, send both registered names and countries to our team so the scope is clear.
