Netherlands business credit reports

Check a Dutch wholesaler, customer, or supplier with a business credit report. Identify the company behind the transaction even when the goods move through a different warehouse or logistics provider.

Information to prepare for your Netherlands company check

  • Registered company name and legal form
  • KVK number, if available
  • Registered address and any separate trading or warehouse address

Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.

The Dutch Business Register

The Netherlands Chamber of Commerce, KVK, manages the Handelsregister. Its information products include extracts, corporate history, filed documents, financial statements, and group structure information. These are different products rather than a promise that a basic search supplies every part of a credit review.

Financial filing depends on the entity

Dutch government guidance identifies private and public limited companies, including BV and NV entities, among businesses required to file annual financial statements. Filing requirements and exemptions depend on the legal structure and circumstances. Ask about the particular company’s accounts, their reporting period, and any ownership detail needed for your review.

A logistics address is not the report subject

If an exporter ships through a Dutch port, the freight forwarder, warehouse, and buyer can be separate businesses. Identify the entity on the sales contract and include its KVK reference when known. If you also need to investigate a logistics partner, describe that as a separate company request.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Should I research the Dutch warehouse or the purchasing company?

For a customer credit review, identify the company responsible for your invoice. A warehouse address can provide context but should not replace the buyer’s registered identity. Other counterparties can be researched separately.
