Luxembourg business credit reports

Research the Luxembourg company named in your agreement with a business credit report. Keep its RCS reference and legal form clear, especially when several companies share a group name.

Information to prepare for your Luxembourg company check

  • Full registered company name and legal form
  • RCS registration reference as supplied
  • Registered office and the entity’s role in the transaction

Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.

Luxembourg accounts and publication notices

Luxembourg’s official business portal explains that annual accounts are filed with the Trade and Companies Register, RCS. A filing notice is published through RESA, while the accounts can be consulted through the register. The notice and the financial document serve different purposes when reviewing a company.

Identify the holding or operating company

If your contract names a Luxembourg company while the group’s staff or assets are elsewhere, explain the entity’s role. Ask whether the available accounts describe that company alone or consolidated activities. A shared group brand is not enough to establish which business a report should investigate.

State the document your review needs

Provide the RCS reference from the agreement or existing extract, along with any required financial year. If your team needs a certified registry document or a particular ownership relationship confirmed, raise that requirement before selecting a credit report. Available report contents should be checked against the decision you need to make.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Is a RESA filing notice the company’s annual accounts?

The official guidance distinguishes the publication notice from the accounts filed with the RCS. Review the financial document itself, its period, and its company or group scope when those figures matter to your enquiry.
