Clarify whether the request concerns a branch

The Company Register notes that current branch information is generally linked to the main establishment’s register record. If your US business is dealing with a German branch or office, provide its address and explain whether the requested report should concern that establishment or the company operating it.

Keep the legal form with the name

Include the legal form shown on the German company’s paperwork and any register reference it supplies. Retain those details when comparing the report with an agreement or invoice. When reviewing financial figures, check the reporting period and whether the information concerns the individual company or a wider group.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can a report on a German parent be used for its subsidiary?

First identify the entity your business is contracting with. A parent and subsidiary can be separate report subjects. Explain the relationship and ask about the appropriate company to research before ordering.
