Malta business credit reports

Order a Malta company credit report using the registered entity’s name and number. Establish the business behind your contract before assessing the information available for a Maltese customer or supplier.

Information to prepare for your Malta company check

  • Registered company name and legal form
  • Company registration number
  • Registered office and any separate trading address

Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.

Company searches through Malta’s BAROS

The Malta Business Registry’s notice on basic information access explains that users must log in to use Company Search on BAROS. It describes account routes for different users, including those outside the EU. A login requirement is an access condition, rather than evidence that an entity is unregistered.

Preserve the registration number from existing documents

If your Maltese counterparty sends an extract or certificate, retain the company number, document date, and complete registered name. Include a separate operating address when it differs from the registered office. A contact address alone may be shared with other businesses and is less precise than the company’s identifier.

Clarify the purpose of the report

For a Maltese company providing services across borders, tell the team which entity invoices you and whether a related company also matters. Ask about any particular accounts or ownership information before purchasing. Neither access to a company-search account nor a registry match establishes the contents of the credit report.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Does a BAROS login screen mean no Maltese company record exists?

No. Malta Business Registry requires a login for Company Search. Use the appropriate access route or send the registered name and number to the team to discuss identifying your intended report subject.
