Information to prepare for your Greece company check

• Registered Greek name and any English trading name
• GEMI registration number or AFM tax reference, if supplied
• Registered office and legal form

GEMI commercial publicity

Greece’s General Commercial Registry, GEMI, publishes registration acts and data through its publicity system. The registry explains that required acts may be published in whole or in part. Look at the particular announcement or company record rather than assuming every underlying document is reproduced in full.

Documents for a Greek company review

Corporate announcements can provide context for registration and changes, but they are not by themselves a financial assessment. If your report needs filed accounts, directors, or ownership details, state that requirement before purchasing. Check what was obtainable for the subject entity and keep the reporting period separate from the date the report was compiled.

Research the company behind a commercial brand

A supplier selling to a Greek distributor may correspond with a brand used across several related businesses. Send the registered name and GEMI or tax reference from the purchase order. If the payer and delivery recipient differ, label each so your company check concerns the correct contractual party.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Is an English name enough to identify a Greek company?

Include it, but also supply the original Greek name, registered address, and GEMI or AFM reference where available. Contact the team if the English name cannot be connected confidently to a legal entity.
