Spain business credit reports
Research a Spanish customer or supplier using the legal entity on your commercial documents. Compare the available company report options before placing an order from your business.
Information to prepare for your Spain company check
- Full Spanish registered name and legal form
- NIF or Mercantile Registry details, if provided
- Registered address and province
Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.
What the Spanish Mercantile Registry can show
The registrars’ online service offers informational notes containing company details, registered capital, administrators and representatives, registered acts, and a list of deposited accounts. A registry certificate is a separate document with its own purpose. State whether your team needs a credit report or a particular certified record before ordering.

Read accounts in their filing context
The service also provides annual accounts deposited by companies. The documents and financial detail available depend on the filing. Compare the period covered with the report date, and check whether the figures concern the Spanish company itself or consolidated group operations. Registered administrators should not automatically be treated as the ultimate owners.
Verify a Spanish distribution partner
For a producer appointing a Spanish distributor, retain the NIF and legal name from the draft agreement rather than relying on a storefront name. If the distributor trades under several brands, include those as context while keeping one clearly identified company as the report subject.
What can the report include?
Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can I identify a Spanish company using its NIF?
Include the NIF when the company supplies it, together with the registered name and address. It helps reconcile commercial paperwork with the intended entity; explain any mismatch before the investigation begins.
