Sweden’s Companies Registration Office offers current company information through its Find company information service. Its products include registration certificates, annual reports, and certain certificates in English. A registration document and an annual report have different scopes; specify which information your team needs rather than assuming every document contains the same details.

Swedish annual reports and language

Bolagsverket’s guidance says a limited company files an annual report written in Swedish. Read any translated financial information alongside its period and stated scope. If directors, ownership, or a particular accounting note are essential to your review, ask whether those details can be obtained for the subject company.

Separate a Nordic brand from its Swedish company

A vendor may negotiate with a regional brand that operates through several Nordic entities. Use the Swedish company number and legal name on the purchase order. If a Danish or Norwegian company will instead owe the invoice, its report should be requested in that jurisdiction.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Will the Swedish source accounts necessarily be in English?
