For businesses trading worldwide
United States business credit reports
Order a United States business credit report for an American customer, supplier, or distributor. Businesses worldwide can research a US company; identify the legal entity and its state of registration before placing the request.
Information to prepare for your United States company check
- Full legal company name and any trading or DBA name
- State of formation and state registration or file number, if available
- Registered address and the operating address involved in the transaction
Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.
US company registration is state-based
The US Small Business Administration provides links to state and territory registration offices. A company name should be checked in its registration context rather than treated as unique nationwide. Include the state and file number from the company’s documents when you have them.

Keep formation, operating location, and tax details distinct
SBA guidance distinguishes state business registration from obtaining a federal Employer Identification Number. Retain each identifier’s label and explain when the company’s operating address is in a different state from its formation. A tax number or familiar brand alone should not replace the legal identity of the report subject.

Use the existing US sample to inspect the format
Our sample-report page includes a US company report PDF. Review it before ordering to understand an example of the document format. The information obtainable for another American company may differ, so ask about any required financial period, ownership detail, or payment information for your particular subject.
What can the report include?
Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can a business outside the US order a US company credit report?
