United Arab Emirates business credit reports
Check a UAE company before paying a supplier or selling to a new customer. Identify the emirate and licensing authority as well as the legal name, especially when your counterparty operates from a free zone.
Information to prepare for your United Arab Emirates company check
- Registered Arabic and English names, where available
- Trade license or registration number and issuing authority
- Emirate, registered address, and free-zone name if applicable
Include the identifiers you have. If the legal entity is uncertain, ask our team before ordering. Do not substitute your billing details for the subject company’s details.
UAE licensing records are authority-specific
The UAE government lists business-license inquiry channels through emirate-level economic departments and the National Economic Registry. The licensing authority on the company’s documents is therefore useful context. A Dubai trading address alone is not enough to decide which registration record belongs to the business you are researching.

A trade license does not establish financial strength
License details help identify the registered business and its licensed activities. They should not be read as audited accounts, proof of current cash resources, or a complete ownership investigation. Ask about available financial statements, directors, and ownership information for the specific UAE entity before ordering if your review depends on those details.
Check the UAE trader in a three-country transaction
A buyer might pay a UAE trading company for goods manufactured elsewhere. Provide the legal name of the seller and identify any separate factory or parent. If a free-zone company and a mainland company use related branding, specify which one signs the contract and receives payment.
Prepare a UAE mainland or free-zone company enquiry
- Copy the trade-license number, issuing authority, and emirate from the company’s documents. Include the free-zone name when relevant; a Dubai address alone may not identify the correct licensing authority.
- Compare the registered Arabic and English names with the company on the agreement. If a mainland business and free-zone business share a brand, ask which legal entity is the contractual seller or buyer.
- Retain the issue and expiry dates shown on a license copy, and mention any later document supplied. Explain a discrepancy before relying on an older registration record to identify the current counterparty.
- State any need for company-level financial statements or ownership detail before buying. A license helps identify the business and activities but does not establish which financial information is obtainable for the report.

What can the report include?
Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can I order a report on a Dubai free-zone company?
Provide the company’s registered name, free zone, licensing authority, and license number where possible. Check the available UAE report options and ask about the identifiable entity and required information before ordering if the scope is unclear.
