Information to prepare for your Taiwan company check

• Registered Chinese company name and English export name
• Unified Business Number
• Registered address and any different manufacturing location

Taiwan’s business registration search

The Administration of Commerce’s company search displays a Unified Business Number, registered company name, and registration status. It also links to exporter and importer information for relevant English business names. These are useful identity checks when commercial correspondence uses a name different from the Chinese registration.

Registration status and company financials

A registration result does not establish a payment record or provide every company’s financial statements. Ask about accounts, directors, and ownership detail for the specific report subject. Keep available financial periods and group relationships clear, especially where a parent publishes financial information but the contracting supplier is a separate company.

Check the seller in a component supply chain

For an electronics buyer, the design company, distributor, and manufacturer may all appear in one project. Identify the Taiwanese entity that sells to you and add the others as context. If production occurs outside Taiwan, explain whether the manufacturing company also needs a separate investigation.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can I order using a Taiwanese supplier’s English export name?

Include the English name, but add the registered Chinese name and Unified Business Number where available. If only a brand or marketplace listing is known, ask our team about identification before purchasing.
