Information to prepare for your Egypt company check

• Registered Arabic name and English name used in correspondence
• Commercial registration number and relevant registry office, if known
• Tax reference and registered address, if supplied

Egyptian commercial registry documents

The Internal Trade Development Authority lists commercial registry services including extracts, establishment data certificates, electronic record copies, and searches by business name or tax number. These documents have different purposes. Include an existing extract with your request if it helps establish the company’s original Arabic identity.

Ask about accounts and corporate roles separately

A commercial registry extract should not be assumed to supply every financial statement or ownership relationship. If your credit review needs an accounting period, directors, or ownership detail, explain the requirement before ordering. Compare the report date with the dates of the documents obtained and distinguish registered facts from financial assessments.

Identify the importer responsible for the sale

A exporter may work with an Egyptian sales agent while invoicing a separate importing company. Supply the registered buyer’s name and address and explain the agent’s role. A contact person, warehouse, or port destination provides context but is not a substitute for the intended debtor’s identity.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can an Egyptian company be identified from an English name alone?

An English name is useful context, but transliterations can vary. Include the Arabic name, registered address, and commercial registration or tax reference where available, and ask for help if the legal entity remains uncertain.
