Information to prepare for your Trinidad and Tobago company check

Trinidad and Tobago’s CROS register

The Registrar General’s Companies Registry operates the Companies Registry Online System, CROS. Its guidance lists company and business-name searches, external-company registration, annual returns, and changes of directors or address. The registered type and filing dates help define which business and information your enquiry concerns.

CROS access requires a registry account

The official guidance explains that a Companies Registry Account is needed to access the online services, including public-record searches and document requests. An account requirement does not establish that no company record exists. Retain the legal name and number even if your own online access is incomplete.

Specify a local entity or external company

If an overseas business operates in Trinidad and Tobago, send both the local registration details and parent-company identity. Ask which entity should be the credit report subject and whether separate research is needed. A local address and a wider group name should not silently become one combined enquiry.

What can the report include?

Depending on the company and available sources, a report may cover registration, ownership, financial statements, payment information, public records, and a credit assessment. Information is not equally available in every market. Check the company identity, source dates, and qualifications in the delivered report.

Can I use CROS without creating an account?

The Companies Registry’s guidance requires an account for its online services. If access prevents you from completing a search, supply the company name, registration number, and available documents to discuss the report subject with our team.
